Nevada City Gold
I was really excited about this wedding because of the colors the bride chose to use. Also, because she is my sister! Joelle and Ryan chose Miners Foundry in Nevada City as their wedding venue which ended up being perfect as it is indoors and it had rained the whole weekend. I actually bought a bunch of clear umbrellas thinking that we would have to use them for the photos but the rain stopped right before and we never had to use them! Side note: If anyone needs any clear umbrellas I have a bunch!
Miners Foundry has a beautiful stone hall that is large enough to hold a ceremony and reception in. Joelle separated the two with floor length burgundy drapery that the groom hung up with friends the morning of. Joelle wanted her flowers jewel tones-dark and moody with pops of bright. No whites allowed! We chose purple, burgundy, pinks and bright greenery with pops of mustard and blue and they were the perfect colors to accentuate the venue.
Maddison was a second shooter for another wedding I did and was the perfect fit for Joelle and Ryan. She captured the vibe perfectly.
Joelle chose La Tavola Fine Linens for her linens and the head table had a gorgeous mustard velvet linen and that I was absolutely in love with. Ryan is a firefighter so they added touches of memorabilia in honor of that.
The bridesmaids (including me!) wore emerald green floor length dresses and Joelle’s dress was a beautiful ivory nude color. Ryan also is a rancher so he and the boys are all wore dark jeans and cowboy boots with brown corduroy jackets.
They were married in front of a stone fireplace in an intimate, beautiful ceremony. A burgundy wall of drapes separated the ceremony from the reception. The reception was catered by the wonderful Encore Catering (highly recommend) who did a great job, were professional, and so sweet. And their bread is from HEAVEN.
